Caring for your Covers

To ensure you get the most out of your covers, we recommend you follow these tips:

• Store your covers dry to avoid mould, rodents and rot.
• For our Animac calf covers, we recommend put the calf's legs through the shockcord loops in windy conditions, rather than under the tail.
• Please ensure you get the right size cover. A cover that is too large can slip forward over the calf or cow's head. If they are able to get their legs through when standing up, they could damage the cover.

What size Calf or Cow Cover do I need?

• Size measurements are the back length of the calf or cow, from the neck to the tail (e.g. a PB1800 cow cover is 1800mm long, from neck to tail).
• Cows and calves vary in size significantly, even within breeds... so our Customer Services team will not be able to recommend a size.
• If you're unsure of the right size, take a rough measurement with a tape measure. Holding it up near the animal is usually enough - the sizes go in 150mm increments (except Jute cow covers, which go in 75mm increments), so you don't need to be very accurate.
• Please ensure you get the right size cover. A cover that is too large can slip forward over the calf or cow's head. If they are able to get their legs through when standing up, they could damage the cover.
